An elderly neighbour has one of these Wave systems with the DAB accessory module.
He had unplugged it all then when he put it back together could not get the DAB to work and called me in.
In normal use the DAB input can be selected by pressing the FM button on the remote and the 'Boselink' should appear in the display..this wasn't happening and I discovered this was due to him having the mains connector plugged into the Wave system with the identical mains connector from it then going to the DAB module instead of the other way around.
I connected this properly then I was able to get 'Boselink' and DAB to appear in the display but the display stated 'insert update disc'.. I did this and it appears to update, ejects the disc then shows 'Complete' but then the unit switches off with only the clock display and when turned back on the same 'insert update disc' appears and so on.
Can anyone tell me the procedure for using the update disc?
I want to be able to rescan the DAB channels and this according to the manual is done by pressing and holding the MUTE button but it's not happening.
The owner has the update disc but no update instructions which accompany it.
Any assistance welcome.
