When a 9-1-1 call comes in, our CAD’s call-for-service screen automatically populates with all the relevant personal and emergency information, eliminating data entry errors and converting precious minutes into quicker response time. Radio logs are automatically updated, and dispatchers can divert units, stack calls and schedule special events.
If an incident report is needed after the call is closed, an OCA case number is created and all relative fields are automatically populated in the Records Management System to save time when completing the report.
When a dispatcher enters the caller and location information, our system immediately displays the Person History for the caller and the Location History. The dispatcher does not have to run a separate query to obtain the historical information. This information is also immediately published to our mobile system. Run a license plate, and the system not only returns information on the vehicle but on the owner as well. It notes previous inquiries, driver’s license information, warrants, jail investigations and outstanding civil process papers.
Dispatchers are often required to notify command staff when certain events occur. TAC 10’s CAD is able to instantly notify personnel via Text Message and/or E-mail when such an event is entered into the dispatch system.

When calls are added from CAD, they appear instantly on the map; when calls are closed in CAD they disappear automatically from the map. The user is able to control the map from the CAD user interface.
